- Mazda’s Kazami Crossover Concept 2008
Hey Kids! My name is Aria. I’m going to be looking into the latest concept car from Mazda in Hiroshima, Japan. Mazda will debut the sporty compact crossover concept vehicle, the Mazda Kazamai, at the Moscow International Automobile Salon (MIAS) on August 26, 2008.
The word Kazamai, Which means “swirling winds” in Japanese, is an accurate expression of this powerful and stylish compact crossover.
The design features are my favorite part. I think everyone enjoys watching an interestingly designed car drive by every once in a while. I know I do!
The design has panel lines inspired by nature’s crosswinds, which evoke unusual lightness. It has a bold five-point grille, 22-inch wheels, a sleek roof line and accentuated wheel arches. Now that will be a sports car I’ll definitely want to see!
The Kazamai is meant to be spirited and fun to drive, with compact dimensions having just the right appeal for kids my age (13) and especially kids old enough to have a license. I guess I only need to hold out for three more years and convince my parents to buy one for me.
Kazamaiʼs four-wheel drive powertrain will consist of a next-generation direct injection engine and a newly developed transmission. Of course, being aerodynamic, the vehicle will be enhanced with safety features. (It might be safer, but that’s no excuse to not wear a seat belt.)
If they actually build it, Mazda’s latest car should be exciting to drive, with sippy fuel consumption, and very low CO2 emissions.
The Mazda Kazamai promises to be another ground-breaking show car from Mazda Design, winner of this year’s Grand Prix du Design in Paris. Created especially for the Moscow International Automobile Salon, it gives some good hints as to where Mazda is going with a possible future compact crossover.
Now, my favorite part about this car is the design. The wheels, the shape, the look is just overwhelmingly awesome. If there was a sports car I would want to drive, it would definitely be this car, The latest car from Mazda, The Kazamai.
Next week on Kids Kars, we’ll check up on the latest car from Lincoln, The Lincoln MKS. I have to jet, jet, away. See ya! – This is Aria, reporting for Zandjets2020.com.
